Acuity Engineers, Inc. is a consulting firm performing Moisture Surveys for owners, potential buyers, property management firms, insurance companies, and lenders. Acuity’s surveys evaluate latent problem areas as well as potential causes of moisture, and determine moisture levels utilizing Protimeter and Delmhorst Moisture Meters, Tramex Wet Wall Moisture Detectors, Structural Hygrometers, Video Scopes, Borescopes, and Infrared Cameras.
Acuity’s assessments may include the following:
Acuity's Moisture Surveys are performed from the interior of the property so as not to breach the drainage plane behind the stucco. Moisture readings are either taken with a Protimeter or Delmhorst Moisture Meter. They can be obtained at the wall surface, framing, within the wall/ceiling cavities, and at the exterior sheathing/concrete.
Weather permitting, Infrared Scans may also be performed by one of Acuity's Certified Thermographers whereby "thermal anomalies" (NOT water!) can be identified, indicating potential moisture issues. A Video Scope Analysis may also be recommended as elevated moisture numbers do not necessarily translate into structural deterioration.
Acuity conducts a Rooftop Assessment and Attic Ventilation Analysis to determine whether or not they are contributing factors regarding moisture intrusion issues. An Acuity Moisture Survey provides the information needed to verify moisture intrusion, potential mold growth, and structural deterioration. Our reports include repair and remediation recommendations as well.
Acuity is a leader in the field of Building Diagnostics and provides additional services such as Property Condition Assessments, Stucco/EIFS Investigations, Microbial Assessments, and Engineering Services.
